Please don’t be offended by my question. You catch such great expressions. I was just wondering what caused the grainy look. I’m learning my way by analyzing what you and a handful of other really good photoblogs post for us to see. Thank you for all your work and sharing it with us.
No, Alexa, I’m not offended at all. But this question is a bit too old to be answered seriously ;-) It’s just like the diagnosis, that the horizon was aslant.
If you spent some time in photo communities, you wish to read questions and statements about the content and the meaning of a photograph, not about the technique.

I was wondering the same thing. I like the expressive moment but it seems very grainy.

Yes, it is grainy. No error, no mistake, just grainy. And on the right side it’s too bright.
